CONTRACTOR’S REPRESENTATIVE (1 Position)

Job Responsibilities
1. Act as a liaison between the company and contractors in the project.
2. Oversee all aspects of the water project contract, including project progress, compliance
with specifications, and quality control.
3. Manage resources and work closely with contractors to ensure work is executed
efficiently, safely, and within timelines and budgets.
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for any contractual issues, change orders, and
disputes.
5. Contract Drafting and Review; Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and
conditions with, subcontractors, and suppliers; ensure, compliance with legal standards
and organizational policies.
6. Risk Identification and Mitigation; Identify potential legal, financial, or operational
risks in proposed contract terms and recommend risk mitigation strategies or
modifications.
7. Stakeholder Coordination; Liaise with legal, finance, procurement, and technical teams
to ensure contract terms align with project goals and compliance requirements.
8. Contract Administration; Manage and maintain contract records, milestones, and
obligations and Ensure all parties fulfill their responsibilities as per the contract.
9. Change Management; Evaluate and process contract changes, amendments, or
variations and ensure proper documentation and approvals for any contract
modifications.
10. Monitoring Compliance; Track compliance with contract terms, including
deliverables, timelines, and performance indicators; and Flag any deviations or noncompliance for resolution.
11. Payment and Invoicing Oversight; Verify that payment terms are followed, support in
invoice processing, and ensure payments are aligned with work progress.
12. Close-Out and Final Documentation; Ensure all contractual obligations are met and
documented and handle contract close-out procedures, including final payments,
releases, and archiving.
13. Dispute Resolution Support; Assist in resolving disputes or claims arising during the
project and Prepare documentation for arbitration, mediation, or legal action if
necessary.
14. Performance Evaluation; Review contractor/supplier performance against contractual
obligations and provide feedback and lessons learned for future contracts.
15. Report writing and Submission; Compile and prepare comprehensive monthly project
reports

Educational Background and Skills
 Bachelor of Civil or water Engineering and management, Bachelor of Environmental
Engineering and management and any other related course.
 NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
 Training in ISO Standards (9001,14001 and 45001)
 Technical qualification in a related field with minimum 5 years ‘experience in a similar role.
 Computer literate, as will be required to use e-mail, excel & word to compile, produce,
monitor and interpret operational data and reports.
 Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge, understanding and application of QHSE Policies and Procedures set.
 Reliable, ability to work unsupervised, within the team, across the whole organization, and
with external customers.
 Must demonstrate a flexible approach to operational requirements in order to meet business
objectives.
 Report Writing: Excellent technical writing skills for preparing comprehensive
production reports.
 Project Planning: Strong organizational skills for project planning, resource allocation,
and scheduling.
 Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess cost
implications and alternatives.
