Finance Mananger

Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial health of the company. He/she
will oversee budgeting, reporting, auditing, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate
will have a strong understanding of insurance brokerage financial operations, regulatory
frameworks, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
  • Ensure compliance with URA, IRA, and other financial regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and guide the finance and accounting team.
  • Oversee cash flow, expenditure, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Advise management on strategic financial decisions.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and systems.
  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in the insurance or
    financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations in Uganda.
  • Contract Terms
    This is a full-time position with a 6 month probation period. The role is based in Uganda
    with a competitive remuneration package aligned to industry standards. Upon successful
    probation, the candidate will be confirmed into the permanent role.
